Puppy Training of your new puppy should be done as as soon as possible. You’ll be amazed just how quickly they learn and at a very early age. It’s just fun for them and they love it! We train all breeds from just a few weeks. They are taught obedience just the same as an adult dog. Then we train you so that you can keep up with it.

Training owners is very important as you must learn the commands and the proper way to correct your puppy as they can forget. This why all our training is one to one with your dog and we do not offer classes. We believe that classes involving a number of young puppies can be very distracting for your dog.

Toilet training you new puppy can be very frustrating. We can show you how to get your puppy into the routine of going outside. We don’t suggest puppy pads as we believe your puppy should be trained to go outside from day one.

"Mouthing" and biting is very common with all puppies particularly when they are teething but it can last until they are older. A bite from a puppy can be very painful and it needs to be stopped. Mouthing can also be intimidating for young children. We can show you how to stop this.

Jumping up at visitors or at strangers on a walk is a very common problem with all dogs. It can be very annoying for visitors to your home and it needs to be stopped as soon as possible. It's best to start early with your puppy as when your puppy grows it can be alarming.

Your puppy should be taught to walk on the lead. Particularly very young puppies find their first walks difficult and do not understand that they have to be on a lead and can often refuse to walk. We can show you how to encourage your dog to walk on the lead.

All young puppies pull on the lead as they are interested in everything and want to play with every dog they see. This is not usually aggressive but can turn into this as your puppy grows. We will show how to stop pulling and show you how to get your puppy to walk at your side.

All dogs bark but if it becomes constant then it becomes a problem. As well as being irritating for the owner, it can be very annoying for the neighbours. Barking should be controlled and we can show you how to do it.

Your puppy will think it's great fun to jump on the furniture but it should not be encouraged. Furniture is for people to sit on not for dogs as they have their own bed. We will show you how to stop this.

Training your puppy in obedience must involve the owner. It’s vital that the owner knows all the commands and can work with their puppy to follow up the training. Leeds Dog School and the owner work together to progress the training. The puppy enjoys the training and the bond between the owner and their dog becomes increasingly strong.

Puppies can be trained from an early age. Bella shown in the video started her training at 15 weeks and you can see just how well she's done.

Ollie came to our house and we went on a walk with our reactive German Shepherd. Within just an hour we were able to see progression. Very great approach, great communication and service. Would recommend to anyone with training needs!

Ollie was great with my 16 week rottweiler. From the moment he came in to when he left was very informative & confident which is always reassuring. He’s kept in contact and provided me with much more content and information regarding the subjects we spoke about. Highly recommend

Oliver was brilliant in helping us with our new dog who is a professional at escaping from the lead and refusing to go for walks. Oliver has helped give our confidence back and now Jake is walking to heal! We are amazed! Thank you Oliver we can now enjoy walks once again! Nicola

My Jack Russell Terrier Bubbles was pulling on her walks and aggressive to other dogs after one session she walks nicely and during the session was able walk nicely past another dog. Ollie gave me some great tips and on our next walk I could already see the improvements. I would absolutely recommend the Leeds Dog School for any training requirements.

Ollie was brilliant he came and helped us with our 7 month old English Bull Terrier Edward who was pulling on the lead and pulling to other dogs and jumping up. He took us out with Edward and showed us how to stop the pulling and correct his behaviour. He was extremely helpful with the information he told us including what collar was best to use and train him. Definitely recommend 🙂

We contacted Leeds Dog School as our 2yr old male German Shepherd was pulling on the lead and very very reactive to other dogs. We hadn't had the dog too long so no idea on his past history. Steve stayed for over 3 hrs on his first visit and managed to get my dog walking along side his own which was amazing. However, my dog reverted back to his old ways despite using the correct technique so Steve came back a few week later.. We didn't make any further progress on that occasion so Steve suggested we go to see Rob for further help. We visited Rob who helped us sort out the situation on the day. However my dog is still reactive to other dogs and we are continuing to work on this. I have found Steve and Rob to be very helpful and genuinely want us to succeed to sort our issues out. They have both offered to assist further if we need it which I find reassuring. To me this is over and beyond what a lot of trainers would do. Thanks Guys.

Rob & Ollie are fantastic. We have a Patterdale Terrier who is 13 months and from 8 weeks old we have been training our dog. At 8 months our dog started doing what he wanted, jumping up at and nipping people, the trainer we were using was no help at all, with the methods he was using. At 11 months my wife wanted rid of the dog until we met Rob and Ollie. Ollie came to the house for an hour and our dog was a different animal, 4 weeks later our daughter wanted some additional guidance. So we had a second visit to refine what we were doing. Rob did the training this time and within less than a minute had our dog doing what he wanted. Rob then spent time with us to go through what we were doing wrong. He showed us how to stop our dog from barking at other dog and houses when out and to walk to heel without pulling. Unlike other trainers they do not turn up in a brand new vehicle with all the fancy trimmings, what they do is show you how to train your dog to do what you want it to do. They don't rip you off and will tell you if you are wasting your money, they don't want you to sign up to weeks and weeks of training or into a training pack. What they did for us in 2 hours was unbelievable, all you have to do is listen to what they tell you and be consistent with your dog, Thanks Rob and Ollie

Ollie came round and showed us a tremendous number of techniques to improve our dobermann pup's behaviour including walking to heel, recall, correcting bad behaviour such as jumping up and picking up objects. Picked up a lot of valuable insight and practical advice and our dog enjoyed learning an impressive amount of knowledge in such a short space of time. Definitely recommended and we will be working with these guys again in the future.

I cannot express how fantastic Rob is! I will recommend them to everyone who has a dog, words cannot describe what a difference their advice has made to our lives and our lovely pups.

You will not regret booking in with them, they are incredible value for money and more effective than any classes or online lessons I've tried.

Rob was great he came and seen me and my 5 year old American staffy pulled badly on the lead and would be aggressive to other dogs but an afternoon with Rob sorted it all out!! the way he trains and understands dogs was awesome he really shows you in detail how to correct the behaviours and how manage your dog. STEVE came to visit last Saturday in an attempt to stop my very friendly, 2 1/2 year old golden retriever launching himself at people and other dogs. He had lots of patience showing us how to manage him and went with us on a training walk. I have a changed dog! I now feel much more confident taking him out and walking past people as he doesn't jump up! I am really pleased with the progress we have made in a week. Steve was fantastic and a really nice guy with so much patience. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone. Thank you! Kath & Liberty

We are currently in the middle of training sessions with Rob and our rescue Mallinois, Helo (Helius). My husband and I cant believe how quickly Rob was able to have Helo walk to heel - like within a few minutes he was walking to heel and not dragging my husband down the road. Really nice, enthusiastic guy who obviously knows what he is talking about. I feel far more confident about being able to manage Helo now, given his issues as a rescue Mali. Rob has provided us with great videos which help us during the week as we practice what we learned at a session. We are finding Rob is able to deal with the issue we had - and more. We are all looking forward to next week, and Helo had so much fun and mental stimulation today, he is totally relaxed now as you can see 😀 Really glad we chose this trainer, and hope to continue working with long term. Thanks Rob!!

One session with Rob completely changed our dog. He went from being an anxious, reactive GSD to being obedient and calm. Rob is so passionate about what he does and it really shows in the quality of his work and his extensive knowledge of both dog training and dog breeds. Whenever I have a query, Rob is so happy to help and provides lots of helpful resources to use to support our training. Already have and will continue to recommend to everyone. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Rob was amazing, if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I would never have believed it. My 1 year old Vizsla Murphy is now walking beautifully with me, I'm no longer being dragged on a walk like a rag doll!! His understanding and love for dogs is enormous and I am really looking forward to working on Murphy's recall. Many thanks Rob see you soon
