Barking & Noise Nuisance

Excessive barking from a dog could land its owner in trouble with the law.In such circumstances the owner might find themselves on the wrong side of the law. Dogs bark naturally, but the constant barking of a dog can be very disturbing or annoying for your neighbours.

In law, a barking dog can be a ‘statutory noise nuisance’. Under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 the owner could be taken to court if they do nothing to stop the nuisance. This could lead to a fine of up to £5,000. So if you think your dog is barking too much or the neighbours have complained, it’s important that you do something about it.

Leeds Dog School specialise in stopping dogs barking quickly and effectively at your home or on a walk.
